A solar field that fits the village, in which the residents of Sleen can actively participate and where the details of the design are discussed together with the village association—that is Solar Field Sleen. Solar Proactive aims to work with the local community to make solar energy part of our living environment, striving for a harmonious whole. In consultation with village residents, the design has been adjusted and suggestions incorporated. With support from the Nature and Environment Federation Drenthe (as an independent party), the various participation methods are coordinated.
Another important aspect is exploring the supply of electricity to Waterschap Vechtstromen and the Drenthe Water Supply Company (Waterleiding Maatschappij Drenthe, WMD), both of which have infrastructure in the vicinity of the solar field.
