Solarpark Daarle
Solar Proactive and Ilos New Energy have developed a solar park on a plot on Dalvoordeweg in Daarle (near the plot at Daarleseweg 47 in Den Ham). The plot, located in the Municipality of Hellendoorn on Dalvoordeweg in Daarle, is approximately 7 hectares in size, has an electrical capacity of about 7 MWp, and accommodates around 12,500 ground-mounted solar panels. This supplies green electricity to about 2,000 homes. The solar park began producing energy in 2021 and will deliver over 4.2 GWh of energy per year.

At both the national and local levels, targets have been set to promote renewable energy. Nationally, the government has set the goal of being fully self-sufficient with respect to energy needs by 2050. In the “Sustainable Energy Vision Hellendoorn,” adopted by the Hellendoorn municipal council in 2017, a local objective was set to reduce CO₂ by 20% in 2020 compared to 2008. This reduction can be achieved partly by using less energy and partly by generating energy in a sustainable way. Solar Proactive aims to contribute to this.
