Sunvest/ProfiNRG, Green Giraffe and Solar Proactive have developed a solar park on a plot located in the Revelhorst industrial estate in Zutphen. The site is 8 hectares and accommodates 8 MW, i.e., approximately 20,500 ground-mounted solar panels.
For the revitalisation of the Revelhorst industrial estate, an integrated approach has been created in which power generation, improved connections and space for recreation are combined into a single plan.
In consultation with immediate neighbours, the design was developed; for example, a bridle path will be added around the solar field for the adjacent riding school.
The landscape integration is based on reintroducing hedgerows; planting these hedges also creates more habitat for birds. We believe the design will also create a gradual transition between the rural area, the industrial estate and the De Leesten residential district.
